These Terms & Conditions apply to all memberships, services and use of Edinburgh Village Studio (“the Space”).
1. Definitions
Operator: Edinburgh Village Studio Pty Ltd.
Member: The individual or entity entering into a membership.
Membership: The licence to use the Space in accordance with these Terms.
House Rules: The rules of use published and updated by the Operator.
2. Nature of Agreement
This agreement creates a licence to use space, not a lease or tenancy. The Member has no right to exclusive possession (unless agreed in writing) and acknowledges that access is a legal arrangement for use and enjoyment, not a retail tenancy.
3. Membership Types and Access
Access hours depend on membership type:
Associate Members: Business hours (8am–6pm Mon-Fri).
Resident Members: 24/7 access.
Credentials & Fobs
Access fobs are non-transferable. Lost or damaged devices incur a $50 replacement fee. Notify the Operator immediately if a fob is lost or stolen.
4. Fees, Billing and Payment
Fees are billed monthly in advance by direct debit. Additional usage (printing, rooms) is billed in arrears. Fees exclude GST unless noted. Failure to pay may lead to suspension of access or termination.
5. Discounts and Special Rates
Commitment-Based Discounts
If a Member terminates a 6 or 12-month commitment early, the discount is forfeited, and the difference between the discounted and standard fee is payable immediately.
Foundation Rates
Apply only while the Membership remains active and in good standing.
6. Use of the Space
The Space is for lawful, professional business purposes only. Residential use, sleeping overnight, or hazardous activities are strictly prohibited.
7. House Rules
Members must comply with the House Rules at all times. These rules form part of the Terms and may be updated periodically.
8. Visitors and Guests
Members are responsible for their guests' conduct. Visitors are permitted during business hours only; members must not provide after-hours access to non-members.
9. Property and Risk
Members use the Space at their own risk. The Operator is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property. Members should ensure their own insurance coverage.
10. Liability and Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, the Operator excludes liability for loss or injury. Members indemnify the Operator against claims arising from their use of the Space or breach of Terms.
11. Confidentiality and Privacy
Members are responsible for protecting their own information in this shared environment. Personal data is handled per our Privacy Policy.
12. Suspension and Termination
Termination for Convenience
Requires one month’s written notice.
Immediate Termination
May occur for illegal activity, safety risks, or serious breaches of House Rules.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
